Product guide

Features & how to use them

Short guides for each part of StatsNGraphs. Track conversions visually — no manual CSS required.

Setup

Getting started

Tracking snippet

One script tag on your site powers all pageviews, engagement, and events.

  1. Open the dashboard and click Manage Sites.
  2. Create a site or open an existing one, then copy the embed snippet.
  3. Paste it before the closing </body> tag on every page you want to track.

Replace the host in the snippet with your StatsNGraphs domain. The data-site value must match your site ID.

UTM campaign tracking

Standard UTM parameters are captured automatically from the page URL.

  1. Add utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign to your links.
  2. Send traffic to any tracked page on your site.
  3. Review UTM breakdowns at the bottom of the dashboard.

No extra configuration needed — the tracker reads query params on each pageview.

Overview

Dashboard

Core metrics & live feed

Visitors, pageviews, bounce rate, engaged visits, and a live activity feed update as traffic arrives.

  1. Select your site from the property dropdown.
  2. Pick a date range: Today, 7d, 30d, 90d, or Custom.
  3. Watch the live counter and recent pageview feed at the top of the dashboard.

Engaged visits count pageviews where the visitor stayed 10+ seconds.

Chart metric overlays

Compare multiple metrics on the same timeline by toggling stat cards.

  1. Click any summary card — Visitors, Pageviews, Bounce rate, or Engaged visits.
  2. Click additional cards to overlay more lines on the chart.
  3. Click an active card again to remove it from the chart.

Selected metrics are highlighted. The chart legend shows which lines are visible.

Visual Event Rules

Recommended

Embed the tracking snippet once, then point and click to track buttons, links, forms, and search boxes. No CSS selectors to write — the visual picker finds them for you.

  1. Install the tracking snippet on your site (see Getting started).
  2. In the dashboard, open Event Rules and click Visual picker.
  3. Enter the page URL and click Open picker. Your site opens in a new tab with a purple highlight overlay.
  4. Hover elements to preview what will be tracked, then click the button, link, or input you want.
  5. Return to the dashboard — the rule form opens pre-filled. Name it, turn on capture options if you want (e.g. search terms), and save.

Each rule auto-creates a matching Goal in the dashboard. Expand a goal to see where conversions happened — and recent search terms when capture value is enabled. Use Test on any rule to verify it on a live page before relying on the numbers.

Exploration

Clickable filters

Slice the whole dashboard by referrer, source, country, or device.

  1. Click any row in Referrers, Source, Countries, or Devices.
  2. All stats, charts, and goals update to that segment.
  3. Click the filter badge above the stats to remove it, or pick another value to refine further.

Saved views

Save your current date range, filters, and chart metrics as a reusable view.

  1. Set up the dashboard the way you want — range, filters, chart metrics.
  2. Open the Views menu and choose Save current view…
  3. Name the view and optionally mark it as default for that site.
  4. Apply saved views anytime from the Views menu or Manage views.

Page detail drawer

Inspect a single page’s traffic, referrers, next pages, and goal impact.

  1. Click any row in the Top pages list.
  2. Review entries, exits, referrers, and next pages in the slide-over panel.
  3. See which goals converted for visitors who viewed that page.

Press Escape or click outside the drawer to close it.

Collaboration

Sharing

Public share links

Share read-only dashboard access without giving someone a login.

  1. Open Manage Sites and select your site.
  2. Enable public sharing and copy the share URL.
  3. Send the link to teammates or clients — they see stats but cannot edit goals or rules.

Disable sharing anytime to revoke the link. Each site has its own share token.
